Olivier Vernon misses practice again with his knee injury

It’s not looking good for Olivier Vernon to play for the Cleveland Browns when the 6-2 Buffalo Bills come to town in Week 10. The starting defensive end missed practice for a third straight day on Friday with a knee injury.

Vernon played nearly every snap in the Week 9 loss in Denver and walked off what looked like a minor injury late. Yet he’s missed the entire week of prep for Buffalo.

The official injury designations come out later on Friday, but expect Vernon to be among the gameday inactives for Week 10. If he cannot go, Chad Thomas figures to get first crack at replacing Vernon, who has played very well of late as both a pass rusher and run defender.
