
London’s social calendar was in full swing this week, with the London Film Festival in full flow and a flurry of high-profile launches drawing A-listers, chefs and fashion royalty across the capital.
Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing brought Parisian flair to Mayfair as he celebrated his second collaboration with Johnnie Walker Vault.
The launch of The Couture Blend whisky and its matching Couture Flask was marked with a glittering evening at the newly opened Chancery Rosewood, one of London’s most talked-about new luxury address.
Co-hosted with master blender Dr Emma Walker, the event began with an intimate omakase dinner at Tobi Masa, chef Masa Takayama’s soon-to-open London outpost and followed by a party at the hotel’s Eagle Bar.
Guests included Lady Kitty Spencer, Jourdan Dunn, Anson Boon, Pom Klementieff as well as Amy Jackson and Ed Westwick with music from Honey Dijon and cocktails flowing late into the night.
Elsewhere, Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, launched his debut book It Ain’t Over… ’Til the Fatboy Sings at W1 Curates on Oxford Street.
In conversation with BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story, the DJ reflected on four decades behind the decks, joking: “It’s 40 years this year that I quit my day job and joined the circus.
“I thought about having a big party but this seemed better.”
The highly illustrated title, which will be released on October 16, offers fans a rare insight into the stories, images and memories that have defined his career.
Over breakfast at Langham Brasserie, singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti unveiled his new ballad Do It For Love, co-written with Miles Kane.
Calling it “a Morricone-meets-Bassey torch song,” Savoretti said the idea came after seeing Julio Iglesias and Charles Aznavour perform together.
“We were both suited up, having just fled an awards ceremony. And we thought: we should do a song like that,” he shared.
To mark the release, Savoretti has announced his first-ever headline show at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on April 23, 2026.
The one-night-only concert will celebrate his 20 years in music with a career-spanning set, with tickets set to go on sale next Friday, October 17.

Closing the week, Gordon Ramsay hosted a gathering of Michelin-starred talent to mark his new Apple TV+ series Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars.
The event at 22 Bishopsgate. which is Europe’s tallest restaurant, celebrated the global production, filmed in elite kitchens around the world.
It also served as a special reunion with former protégées Marcus Wareing, Clare Smyth, Jason Atherton, Anna Haugh, and Matt Abe, who each began their Michelin journeys with Ramsay.
Meanwhile the acclaimed chef was supported on the night by his wife Tanya, daughters Matilda and Holly as well as her fiancé Adam Peaty.
