Olivier Ntcham set for Marseille debut following Celtic transfer chaos as interim manager hints at changed tune

Deadline Day transfer Olivier Ntcham is preparing to make his Marseille debut on Wednesday after admin issues denied him a dream run-out against Paris Saint-Germain.

After arriving at the Stade Velodrome on loan last week the Celtic man was the unfortunate subject at the centre of a row between OM manager Andre Villas-Boas and the club's hierarchy.

The Portuguese boss claimed he'd said no to a deal for Ntcham before being suspended, then sacked, all following an unearthed interview in which the midfielder stated his affection for rivals PSG.

That didn't please the notorious ultras of the club and interim gaffer Nassert Larguet initially said he was missing for their 2-0 defeat to the Parisians at the weekend because of an unspecified injury.

But he's now revealed that red tape held up his registration. And he looks set to make his Marseille bow away to Auxerre in the French Cup on Wednesday night.

Larguet said: "As soon as Olivier Ntcham's administrative issues are resolved, he will be in the team.

"I very much hope and expect he will be available and ready to play against Auxerre this week."

Ntcham hasn't featured in a game since playing for the Hoops in a win against Ross County before Christmas. It will be the 24-year-old's first game in his homeland since leaving Le Havre as a kid.
