Olivier Ntcham's first post-Celtic interview as he opens up on Marseille move

Olivier Ntcham has given his first interview since leaving Celtic for Marseille.

The French midfielder’s switch from the Scottish Premiership to Ligue 1 caused a storm after former OM boss Andre Villas-Boas offered his resignation after claiming Ntcham was signed despite him telling the board he didn't want him.

The former Chelsea and Teottneham boss was then suspended with Marseille still looking for his replacement.

However, Ntcham has gone on a charm offensive, praising the ‘biggest club’ in France and their supporters.

"Olympique de Marseille is the biggest club in France, with the greatest fervor and the greatest supporters,” he said.

"They have accomplished great things in French and European football too.

“It's the first time I've come to Ligue 1, it's a new experience.

"It's a very big championship with very great teams who have had good runs in the Champions League and the Europa League. It's a new challenge for me."

Despite Villas-Boas not wanting him, Ntcham believes his Champions League and Europa League experience with Celtic means he’ll always be an ‘asset’.

He added: “Having a player like me who has played a lot in the Champions League or the Europa League, I think that's always an asset.

"I'm going to bring my personality already (in the locker room), energize it, bring a lot of positivity, I hope we will do great things together. "
