Olivier Ntcham's disastrous Marseille start goes on as Celtic loanee to miss crunch PSG clash

Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham will miss out on his dream debut for Marseille against PSG tomorrow after picking up an injury.

The Hoops loanee moved to the Ligue 1 giants on loan before the transfer deadline, but his arrival was the catalyst for the departure of manager Andre Villas-Boas who insisted he didn't want to sign the midfielder.

Ntcham's arrival also irritated Marseille supporters who uncovered an interview from the player stating he was and would always be a fan of PSG.

However, the 24-year-old was all set to make his debut for his new club against the French champions at the weekend and tried to make amends with his new fans by insisting his new team were a massive club in France.

He said: "Marseille are the biggest club in France, with the most passionate and best supporters.

"They have accomplished great things in French and European football too.

"It's the first time I've come to Ligue 1, it's a new experience. It's a very big championship with very great teams who have had good runs in the Champions League and the Europa League. It's a new challenge for me."

However, Ntcham - who hasn't played any football since featuring for Celtic in a win against Ross County before Christmas - will miss out on the game after picking up an injury.

He failed to feature in their midweek draw against Lens and didn't even make training ahead of the game against PSG.
