Olivier Ntcham reveals Celtic boss Neil Lennon's three crucial instructions behind glory Lazio moment

Ecstatic Olivier Ntcham has praised Neil Lennon and the key instructions that led to his historic winner over Lazio.

The Celtic star replaced Ryan Christie in the 77th minute and the Frenchman etched his name into Hoops folklore as he dinked the ball over Thomas Strakosha to secure a place in the last 32 of the Europa League in stoppage time.

Ntcham's glory strike was a moment of redemption after winning back trust following comments in the summer claiming the time was right for him to leave Celtic.

And the former Manchester City academy graduate admits it was the Irishman's telling advice that secured his side's first ever win on Italian soil.

He told the Celtic View : "Before I came on, the manager said to me, try to defend a little bit, press when possible and when we get the ball try to forward and keep the ball.

"It was difficult but it happened too quickly to explain.

"I was proud of my finishing in the game.

"Winning in Italy, breaking a record - that's great news for everybody involved in the club."

And Ntcham admits his magic moment was for the 9000 supporters who roared their team onto victory.

The 23-year-old believes Celtic's ability to carry the fight in the second half was crucial after Lazio rip-roaring start in the Stadio Olimpico.

He added: "They looked so proud of the team. Every Celtic fan can be proud. The way we played, the spirit of the team, it was really nice.

"It's a great feeling and I'm very happy for my team.

"We managed the game a lot better in the second half, because I think we started the game a little slower than we'd have liked."
