Olivier Ntcham in Celtic exit twist as AEK Athens 'consider' new offer

AEK Athens are set to return with a new offer for Olivier Ntcham as they look to complete a move for the midfielder.

The Frenchman has already agreed personal terms with the Greek giants but they had hoped Celtic would make him a free agent this summer.

The Hoops want money for a player they paid £4.5m for, though, and AEK are now considering a money bid to get him to Greece.

Sporttime.gr say they are 'checking' on whether they can afford to buy him and will make a bid to sign him and complete a move to sign the midfielder.

Ntcham is back at Celtic after a miserable loan spell back in his homeland with Marseille that began with Andre Villas-Boas quitting before he struggled for game time.

The 25-year-old has had a mixed time at Celtic Park but has been agitating for a move away from the club for a lengthy period.

He'll be best remembered in Glasgow for his last minute winner against Lazio in the Europa League but he struggled to hold down a regular starting spot, particularly under Neil Lennon.

He was allowed to join Marseille on loan in January but they decided against activating a clause to sign him permanently.
