A report has claimed AEK Athens are "optimistic" of landing Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham.
Hopes had been high for the Frenchman throughout much of his time at Celtic Park but he fell out of favour under Neil Lennon last term.
That led to a tumultuous loan to Marseille in January - which started with Andre Villas-Boas losing his job and claiming he never wanted to sign Ntcham in the first place.
The former Man City prospect, now 25, managed just four Ligue 1 appearances back in his homeland and they elected not to make the move permanent.
As things stand he will return to Glasgow's east end for pre-season this month with his stock at a real low.

There followed rumours he had been released by the Hoops a year early but that has proven to be wide of the mark.
But he may be given a reprieve as AEK, linked with a move in recent weeks, are said to be confident in bringing him in.
That's according to journalist Giannis Chroianopoulos who reckons the Greek Super League side fancy themselves to bring Ntcham back to prominence and could make an offer for him in the near future.
It's not clear what sort of fee Celtic would hope to attain and it's likely they would want to appoint a new manager before green-lighting any transfers.
But it seems unlikely that they would stand in his way especially with his contract set to expire in 2022.
The Hoops paid £4.5m to sign him from City in 2017 and he initially looked promising under Brendan Rodgers, but he has struggled for consistency throughout his time in Scotland.
