Olivier Ntcham and the Manchester United transfer domino effect facing Celtic star

Celtic star Olivier Ntcham is reportedly being lined up as a serious transfer target for Lille.

The Ligue 1 side are braced for losing midfield star Boubakary Soumare who is being targeted by English Premier League heavyweights Manchester United and Tottenham in the January window.

And French journalist Ignazio Genuardi has reported Lille are preparing a move for Ntcham, who has won his place back in Neil Lennon 's nine in a row chasing team.

It has been claimed Lille had scouts present at Celtic 's Europa League win over Rennes in Glasgow last month to specifically run the rule over the 23-year-old former Manchester City prospect.

The Stade Pierre Mouray side are strategic planners with renowned sporting director Luis Campos already lining up a replacement for Soumare.

And that appears to be Ntcham, who is happy at Celtic again after a period of instability. Lennon was forced to rebuke him in the summer after claiming he was too good for Scottish football. Since then, though, Ntcham has become a key figure in Lennon's squad of late, having already made 26 appearances this season.
