Olivier Giroud video: Chelsea striker appears to mock Arsenal as players celebrate Europa League Final triumph

Olivier Giroud appeared to mock Arsenal during Chelsea's wild Europa League Final celebrations, thanking his former club while lifting the trophy.

The striker opened the scoring in Baku, beating Petr Cech at his near post with a fine header as Chelsea scored four in 23 second-half minutes.

Giroud's celebration was muted during the game, sinking to his knees and pointing to the sky while Chelsea team-mates congratulated him, but was far more vocal on Chelsea's bus after the game.

Jorginho was broadcasting live on Instagram as the squad celebrated with the trophy. Giroud comes into shot, picks up the trophy, turns towards the camera and shouts: "Thank you Arsenal!"

Players within earshot then burst into laughter, including Jorginho while looking into the camera.

Following the game, Giroud explained his pride at winning the trophy. He told reporters: "These two clubs changed my life, they gave me the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

"I didn’t want to celebrate against Arsenal but I am so proud to win this trophy with Chelsea. When you give me the chance to get game time I always try my best."
