Olivier Giroud is the latest striker to be linked with a move to Tottenham before the January transfer deadline.
Having signed Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal this week and brought in Steven Bergwijn from PSV, the club will be looking to complete a deal for a new frontman before the window closes until the summer.
AC Milan's Krzysztof Piatek and Real Sociedad's Willian Jose have both been tipped to seal a move to the club so far this month but no deal has come to fruition.
Reports now claim that Spurs are keen on luring Giroud across the capital due to his struggles for regular match action at Chelsea.
The Frenchman, who has been tipped to join Inter Milan this month, is out of contract in the summer but he is desperate for a move now as he looks to make France's Euro 2020 squad.
While a move to Spurs would suit both Giroud and Mourinho, agreeing on a deal with the Blues will prove extremely tricky as there are only six points between the two teams in the race for a Champions League place.
The experienced Frenchman would be an excellent acquisition for the club and a number of players would benefit from his potential arrival.
football.london takes a look at those who could really profit from his signing if Daniel Levy manages to pull it off.
Serge Aurier
The Ivorian is one player who would benefit from the potential arrival of the Chelsea forward.
Aurier does like to get forward as much as he can and he does currently have seven assists to his name so far this season, with five of those coming since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm.

Given Giroud is extremely powerful and good in the air, it could be a really good weapon for Spurs over the course of the remaining games.
Dele Alli
Alli really made an impression following Mourinho's appointment but he has not quite hit the heights in recent weeks.
The 23-year-old does link up really well with Harry Kane in attack and his game has slightly altered recently with Lucas Moura used through the middle in the England captain's absence.
Giroud could potentially be the man to get the best out of Alli again due to his brilliant hold-up play and the fact he can knock the ball down to the player.
Giovani Lo Celso
Spurs confirmed the permanent signing of the Argentine on Tuesday afternoon following the departure of Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan.
Lo Celso has been in stunning form of late and he has been dictating games for Spurs from the middle of the park.
Capable of a bit of magic and playing a perfect through ball for his teammates, Lo Celso and Giroud could work well together to combine for some much-needed goals.
Troy Parrott
Parrott has been unable to get time on the pitch for Spurs in 2020 despite the fact that Kane is not expected to return to training until April.
The 17-year-old has a big future in the game but fans are going to have to be patient as they wait for the Irishman to make an impression at Spurs.

Giroud's arrival wouldn't be good for Parrott in terms of playing games as the Frenchman would get the nod, yet he will pick up so much from the 33-year-old given his vast amount of experience in the game.
Harry Kane
It's not clear at present if Kane will feature for Spurs before the season is out as he is not due to be back on the training pitch until some point in April.
The Lilywhites have been extremely light upfront this season after failing to replace Fernando Llorente following his move to Napoli and that has meant that the 26-year-old just hasn't had any competition for a starting spot.
Giroud would give Kane plenty of competition and that would only be a good thing for the striker and Tottenham.
Spurs' wide men
The addition of Steven Bergwijn means that Mourinho has plenty of competition for a spot on the flanks.
If the head coach can add Giroud to his squad before Friday's deadline then it is only a good thing for his wide men as they have a powerful forward in the middle to pick out.
Giroud would also be great for the likes of Erik Lamela, Son Heung-min and Lucas to play alongside as they would be able to get on the end of his flick-ons and punish teams.
