Chelsea to Tottenham is not a well trodden path.
The two teams just do not do transfer business.
But could that all be about to change?
Tottenham are looking into the possibility of signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud on an 18-month deal, to bolster their attacking options in the absence of talisman Harry Kane.
Kane is out until at least April with a hamstring injury and as a result Spurs do not have a fit first team striker on the books.
There have been links with plenty of players - Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan and Willian Jose from Real Sociedad to name just two.
But reports surfaced on Tuesday evening that Spurs were in for Giroud, who had been heavily tipped to make the move from Stamford Bridge to Inter Milan, to join up with former coach Antonio Conte.
Many players have played for both Chelsea and Tottenham, but few have made the direct move from Stamford Bridge to N17 in the Premier League era - just three in fact.
Here we take a look at the trio who have trodden that London path...
Carlo Cudicini - 2008/09 - Free
Goalkeeper Cudicini signed for Spurs on a free transfer in January 2009.
The Italian was allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on a free after giving nine years' service to the Blues.
He left as he had been number two to Petr Cech and was struggling for game time, which he found similarly at Tottenham, first acting as back-up to Heurelho Gomes and then Brad Friedel.
Cudicini played 37 games for Tottenham in a four-year spell at the club, leaving in 2013.
Gustavo Poyet - 2001/02 - £3m
Uruguayan Poyet was a popular figure at Stamford Bridge, and went on to become a popular player at White Hart Lane too.
Famously jumped up and punched the air in delight when substituted for Spurs during the 5-1 League Cup semi-final win over the Blues in 2002, endearing himself even more to the Tottenham fans.
Poyet was a midfield goalscoring machine for Chelsea, notching 49 goals in 145 appearances for the Blues.
And he took that form to Spurs, where he netted 23 goals in 98 apperarances.
Went on to become first team coach at Spurs under Juande Ramos too.
Frode Grodas - 1997/98 - £315,000
You could be forgiven for forgetting this one.
Grodas made 26 appearances for Chelsea in the two years he was in west London after joining from Lillestrom.
He then moved to Tottenham in 1998 for a nominal fee, where he made zero appearances.
The goalkeeper was only there for half a season, before moving to Schalke in Germany. We can't think why Chelsea let that transfer happen...
