Olivia Munn is expecting her first child with boyfriend John Mulaney.
The Love Wedding Repeat actress, 41, was recently spotted wearing baggy clothes while running errands in LA, prompting rumours she might be pregnant.
But John confirmed the happy news on Tuesday during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The 39-year-old comedian said he was “nervous” to reveal he was going to be a dad after a challenging year, which saw him go into rehab and separate from his ex-wife, Anna Marie Tendler.
He added he and Olivia, who started dating earlier this year, are “really, really happy” about the new addition to their family.
Reflecting on the past 12 months, John said: “I packed a lot into this...is it September now?
“I went into rehab in September. I got out in October. I moved out of my home from my ex-wife.
“Then in the spring, I went to Los Angeles and met and started to date a wonderful woman named Olivia.”
He continued: “I got into this relationship that’s been really beautiful with someone incredible.
“She’s kind of held my hand [through everything] – and we’re having a baby together!”
John and his ex-wife Anna Marie Tendler divorced in May this year after six years of marriage.
Shortly before they split, he checked himself into rehab for cocaine and alcohol addiction after suffering a relapse.
Anna Marie said at the time she was “heartbroken” John had chosen to end their marriage, adding: “I wish him support and success as he continues his recovery.”
The former Saturday Night Live writer has spoken openly about his addictions, revealing he started drinking at the age of 13.
In a 2019 interview, the stand-up comic admitted: “I drank for attention.
“I was really outgoing, and then at 12, I wasn’t. I didn’t know how to act. And then I was drinking, and I was hilarious again.”
Rumours he was dating Olivia began shortly after he got out of rehab when she publicly shared her support for John on Twitter.
“Sending SO MUCH love and support to John Dulaney. You got this,” the actress wrote.
At the end of his interview with Seth Meyers, John said: “I was nervous when I was about to say the news. Olivia and this baby have helped save me from myself in this early journey out of recovery.”
