History-maker Oliver Burke was praised by his Union Berlin boss Steffen Baumgart for his composure after he became the first Scot to score a hat-trick in the Bundesliga.
The 28-year-old won the last of his 13 Scotland caps five years ago and has been frozen out of the international scene since.
But his hat trick for Union Berlin at Eintracht Frankfurt saw him become the first ever Scot to score three goals in one game in Germany's top flight.
The first Scot to play in the Bundesliga was Vince Mennie, who made his debut for Cologne 42 years ago and no Scottish player has scored a hat trick, although Burke himself scored a double last season for Werder Bremen and Alan McInally netted a brace twice for Bayern Munich in 1989.

And Baumgart was thrilled at the former Celtic loan star's impact.
He said: "We knew that Eintracht Frankfurt would dominate, especially in possession, but that we would get our chances in counter-attacks.
"We needed composure to capitalise on those opportunities – and Oliver, in particular, demonstrated that three times."
And modest Burke insisted the win was a team effort after he netted his first goals for the club he joined on a free in the summer.
He said: "We had to stay highly focused every second and pushed ourselves to our maximum as a team.
"Each player brings different strengths to the team and we brought the best of each of them onto the pitch.
"I'm happy that we were able to celebrate the victory with the fans."
