Oliver Burke in transfer poser as former Celtic star goes on social media purge

Oli Burke didn't set the world alight when he was in Glasgow for six months last season.

His return to West Brom sparked a bit of a war of words between Celtic and the Baggies with the English side feeling he wasn't treated the best by Neil Lennon.

Burke had signed under Brendan Rodgers and started brilliantly but quickly fell away and didn't even make the squad for the Scottish Cup Final.

Now he's back at the Baggies and many expected a big season from him but that might all change.

The Scotland international has dropped a huge hint on Instagram that his time there might be up.

Previously, he's filled his profile with pictures from all of his clubs and West Brom featured prominently.

But earlier today, he decided to get rid of all of his pictures from the Hawthorns and all that remains is Celtic and Scotland.

It appears unlikely that he would make a return to Parkhead before the end of the window given how his loan spell ended but it hasn't stopped fans getting the idea that he might be.

Last month, Burke revealed how delighted he was to be working under Slaven Bilic.

The former West Ham boss took charge of the Baggies at the end of the season and Burke is hoping to play a role.

He said:  "It’s a great appointment and obviously he’s a fantastic manager, I think everyone knows that.

"The training sessions have been great. The quality and the standard has really risen and everybody’s really looking to impress and perform under him.

"Everyone knows they can learn a lot as he’s a good coach. For the young players coming through it’s important, even for me, to take everything in like a sponge.

"Each day is really important as a player. I’m happy with the appointment and I think it’s perfect for me to learn as much as I can to really progress and give back to West Brom now.

"With everything that’s happened throughout my career there’s always that weight on your shoulders. I just want to enjoy my football and give my very best.

"I know what I can do and I’m sure the coaches know what I’m capable of now. It’s just down to me to go out and prove it and give my all for the club."
