Olive trees worth Rs 84 lakh from Andhra Pradesh's Kadiam Nursery sent to Mukesh Ambani’s new house in Gujarat

RAJAHMUNDRY: Kadiam nursery trees are now becoming ornamental for the new house of Reliance Industries owner Mukesh Ambani, one of the richest persons in the world.

Two Spain-born olive trees were sent to the Reliance owner Mukesh’s new house in Jamnagar in Gujarat on Wednesday from Kadiam in East Godavari.

The International business tycoon Mukesh Ambani ordered two olive trees and spent Rs 42 lakhs on each tree because having those trees in the premises of any house is considered prosperous. The trees are said to have a long lifespan of more than 1,000 years. The olive trees which were sent to Ambani’s house are said to be more than 100-years-old.

According to sources, these two olive trees were brought from Spain by Margani Seshu, the owner of Gautami Nursery in Kadiam of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. The trees were brought in a special container shipment a few months ago.

The nursery owner had taken special care for them by putting in the Godavari area soil and water. They grew well and now fetched the nursery owner at a cost of Rs. 84 lakh. Both trees were sent in a special trawler truck from Kadiam to Jamnagar by spending Rs 3 lakh for the truck, which will go 30kmph speed only and would reach Jamnagar by November 29, Nursery sources said.
