Why Southeastern Louisiana Will Win
It’s an interesting and rested Lion team that didn’t play last week against Bethune-Cookman – the game was cancelled. The week before, SELA was able to blow away a decent Jacksonville State team with a decent passing game and a stunningly consistent performance.
Former Fresno State QB Chason Virgil struggled a bit, but former Arkansas passer Cole Kelley was able to rip it up a bit. The offense was able to spread the ball around, and now it’s going against a defense that got hit by Arkansas for 300 yards last week.
Why Ole Miss Will Win
The offense appeared to have figured it out.
Offensive coordinator Rich Rodriguez’s attack couldn’t do anything in the opener against Memphis, but it was solid when it had to be against the Hogs last week. Scottie Phillips and the ground game kept things moving, Matt Corral threw for 246 yards, and Elijah Moore is coming off a seven-catch, 130-yard, two touchdown performance.
SE Louisiana might have done a wonderful job in the opener against a dangerous offense, but it doesn’t have the defensive front to hold up if the Rebels can get the balance going right away.

What’s Going To Happen
It won’t be your typical FBS over FCS wipeout, but the Rebels shouldn’t have too many issues. It’s not going to be smooth sailing, but the O will be just good enough to keep this from being dramatic. The Lions, though, will come up with a big day through the air to make the Rebels keep trying.
