Why New Mexico State Will Win
Okay, New Mexico State. Start throwing, keep throwing, and don’t stop throwing.
There isn’t a whole lot that’s going right so far for the Aggies this year in a winless campaign, but the passing game at least has had its moments.
Josh Adkins threw for 210 yards or more in every game but the blasting against Alabama and the loss to Georgia Southern a few weeks ago.
The Ole Miss secondary is getting rocked by almost everyone.
Bo Nix threw for 340 yards in Auburn’s win last week, Arkansas was able to hang 300 yards, and Vanderbilt threw for over 200 yards, and so far.
With LSU up next and Mississippi State to close out, this might be a bit of a letdown week for the Rebels, but …

Why Ole Miss Will Win
New Mexico State is going to be more than happy to make this easy on the home team.
The Ole Miss defense might have problems, and it doesn’t do a lot to take the ball away, but the Aggies will just give it away. They’re dead last in the nation in turnover margin with two or more in every game but the shootout loss to New Mexico, and they’ve given it up three times or more six times.
This is the week for the Rebel running game to fatten up.
New Mexico State’s defensive front is getting destroyed, allowing 200 yards or more to everyone but Washington State – who doesn’t run – and Liberty, giving up over 400 to Georgia Southern and over 350 to Central Michigan.

What’s Going To Happen
Ole Miss should easily blast away for 300 rushing yards and could hit the 400-yard mark.
QB John Rhys Plumlee and the talented running backs should hit home run after home run to put this away fast, but the Aggies will get their shots in. They’ll crank up the passing game just enough to make Ole Miss continue to push.
