'Ole masterclass' - Some Manchester United fans mock Arsenal as Chris Smalling nears Roma move

Manchester United fans have expressed their surprise this morning (Thursday) amid reports that Chris Smalling is closing in on a loan move to Italian side Roma.

The England international has found his opportunities limited under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the former Fulham man not featuring at all yet this season for the Red Devils, following the arrival of Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

And now, reports in Italy suggest that Smalling is on the verge of a season-long loan move to the Italian capital, with a €3m agreement between the two clubs.

That could have a knock-on effect for the future of Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi, who has been linked with a move to Roma ahead of the summer transfer deadline across Europe.

Indeed, Arsenal fans have been reacting to the reports of Smalling's impending move and what it means for the German defender.
