'Ole has to go!' - Manchester United fans furious as Atalanta go 2-0 up at Old Trafford

Manchester United have made the worst possible start to this evening's UEFA Champions League clash with Atalanta at Old Trafford, finding themselves 2-0 down inside the opening half an hour.

On what is a huge night for United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players, United have been left with a mountain to climb following Mario Pasalic's 15th-minute opener and Merih Demiral's header just before the half-hour mark.

Former Chelsea man Davide Zappacosta was released down the right-hand side, broke into the box and put the ball on a plate for Pasalic to tap home, with VAR dismissing any suggestions of offside to confirm Atlanta's dream start on their first-ever visit to Old Trafford.

For the second goal, Demiral beat Harry Maguire inside the penalty area to head home a corner and silence Old Trafford yet again.

Amid United's current troubles, the supporters have soon taken to social media to express their frustrations at Atalanta taking the lead and the doubling it.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look to see what some United fans have had to say on social media.

As you can see from the messages displayed above, a number of United fans are calling for Solskjaer to go, whilst one fan has joked that they are off to bed and no longer want to tune in and watch the match.

Should things stay as they are in Group F this evening, with Villarreal currently 2-0 up against Young Boys, United will finish the night bottom of the pile on three points at the halfway stage of the group stage campaign.
