Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 'You need to rattle Paul Pogba' to get best from Man Utd star

Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes 'rattling' Paul Pogba will help him get the best out of the midfielder.

The Red Devils continued their 100 per cent start since the Norwegian took charge in December with a 2-0 win against Newcastle at St James' Park.

Pogba has been highlighted as one of the most improved players since Solskjaer's arrival, with the Frenchman scoring four goals and creating three assists in his last four appearances for United.

And Solskjaer believes tapping into the 25-year-old's aggression - which was on display in Newcastle after being fouled by Jonjo Shelvey - has helped him reignite his United career.

"You need to rattle Paul Pogba at times to get him going; he has been immense for us," Solskjaer told BBC Sport after the game.

Goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford helped United move to within six points of fourth-placed Chelsea in the race for Champions League qualification.

They face a tough test after their FA Cup third round tie at Reading on Saturday, as Solskjaer's side travel to Wembley for a mouthwatering clash against Tottenham.
