Ole Gunnar Solskjaer warns Manchester United about two Everton players

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Manchester United about the threat of Everton duo Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison ahead of their Premier League meeting on Sunday.

United are winless in their last two league games against Everton and will face a tricky away test against a side revitalised by the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti.

Everton's attacking threat has been integral to their recent upsurge in form and although United have kept six clean sheets in their last seven matches Solskjaer is way ahead of kick-off.

“Very much so," Solskjaer told MUTV when asked about Everton's revival under Ancelotti.

"The results have picked up, the performances have definitely picked up. They create loads of big chances every game, they're always a threat with the big strikers Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, a handful for any centre-backs and we know all about going there.

"We know too much about going there with this team. We lost last season, which we have to improve on.”

Although the United manager might be reluctant to see the two star strikers feature for Everton this weekend, he will be delighted to see Andre Gomes involved.

The midfielder suffered a horrendous injury late last year but has battled back in just four months to return, and Solskjaer is delighted for him.

He added: “He's a fantastic player, first of all and the way that he's come back, less than four months after that bad injury, looking the way he does now, is fantastic. [It’s] great to see.

"Of course, I played with Alan Smith [who broke his leg against Liverpool], ourselves we know how difficult that can be. He must have been really doubting how long this would take, so it’s great to see him back.”
