Bruno Fernandes could be the player that gets Ole Gunnar Solskjaer relieved of his duties as Manchester United manager, Ian Wright believes.
Solskjaer, 47, is under increasing pressure at Old Trafford following back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir.
The consecutive losses came after impressive wins over Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.
Wright, like many others, believes Solskjaer's future at Old Trafford is up in the air and reckons "ambitious players" like Fernandes could soon start to vocalise their discontent if results on the pitch don't change.
During the latest episode of BBC Radio 5 Live’s 'Kelly & Wrighty Show', the former Arsenal man said: “What you’ll find is, especially the ambitious players – the ones who want to get to where Man United are supposed to be.
"What you’ll start hearing out of there is you’ll start hearing things from people.
“The players will start saying things because they want a manager who’s going to push them. Bruno Fernandes, you’re hearing little snippets that he’s not happy for some reason.
“That’s what’s going to start happening because as much as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems like a nice bloke and everybody likes him, you get to a certain level as a player where you’re thinking, ‘that’s not enough for me, I need more than this’.”
Wright reckons Fernandes - who vehemently denied rumours of a half-time bust-up with his manager during United's 6-1 defeat to Tottenham in October - has already showcased signs of frustration at how his first full season at the Theatre of Dreams is going.
He added: “You watch how he’s playing and his body language in some of the games, you’re thinking, ‘What are the training sessions like? Is he getting what he needs to get out of it?'
"You look at (Marcus) Rashford and (Mason) Greenwood, who you’re thinking with Bruno Fernandes and (Paul) Pogba they’re supposed to be getting chances left, right and centre with the calibre of player they’ve got.
“It’s not happening and that’s got to come from the coaching and the manager.”
Manchester United will be back in action this afternoon travelling to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
