Ole Gunnar Solskjaer tells Man Utd fans not to expect much movement in transfer window

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Manchester United fans not to expect much business in this month's transfer window.

United's defence and midfield has been decimated by injury, leading to a belief they will go into the market in the January window to strengthen their squad.

But Solskjaer said this morning he does not expect there to be many players leaving or arriving, despite United's obvious need for reinforcements in several areas.

“We've still got the same thoughts we had a month ago,” said Solskajer. “We've got the players we have, we're working with the ones we have and, if something happens, we'll tell you.

“I can't say yes or no [to players coming or going] but I wouldn't expect many ins and outs.”

United skipper Ashley Young, a free agent this summer, is understood to have signed a pre-contract agreement with Inter Milan, although Solskjaer remained tight-lipped on the defender's future.

“He's one of our players, our captain, there's been loads of speculation and we just have to handle that,” said Solskjaer.

“Ash has been very professional and focused and I don't think that's going to change.

“But that's a discussion me and Ash will have if something comes up. We haven't got too many players fit and ready, so we need the ones we have.

“Ash has been very good for this club, a very good captan this season, so let's see where we are in February and in the summer.”
