Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes subtle swipe at Chelsea as Man Utd beat Leicester City

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared to take a subtle swipe at Chelsea after Manchester United's win over Leicester City, by praising the Foxes' ability to defend.

The Red Devils ran out 1-0 winners over Leicester in what was a closely-fought game at Old Trafford settled only by a Marcus Rashford penalty eight minutes in.

Manchester United have had a stop-start season to this point, but battered Frank Lampard's Blues 4-0 on the opening day of the campaign.

After the Leicester match on Saturday, Solskjaer claimed that the contest marked the very first time this season United had to defend for large spells.

He also praised the Foxes ability to defend in their own half, saying United have dominated every other game they have played this season.

"We hung in there," said the Man United boss.

"It was the first time this season where we have had to defend for large periods. We have dominated the other games but today we saw a team that could defend in their own half.

"They are a good side who want to get into the top four. To keep a clean sheet is great but let's not get too excited because we know we can play better. We defended as a proper team."
