Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'speaks to Marcus Rashford' about transfer target Jadon Sancho

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly spoken to Marcus Rashford about his friend Jadon Sancho, as Manchester United step up their pursuit of the forward.

The Red Devils have been hot on the heels of the England international for a while now, and Dortmund have allegedly accepted it's a matter of time before he leaves the Bundesliga giants.

But Dortmund intend to play hardball over Sancho's price, and will only accept a fee in excess of £100million to let the former Manchester City graduate depart.

That said, Dortmund's top brass is starting to lose its patience with Sancho, after the forward landed himself in trouble with the German league for getting a haircut during lockdown.

Sancho was hit with a fine - a decision he labelled "a joke" on social media.

The 20-year-old's Dortmund team-mate Emre Can responded to the youngster's outburst, saying he needs to "grow up".

Can added on Sky Germany: "He just has to be a little bit smarter about these things. He can't afford to make mistakes like that in the future.

"We as a team are also responsible. We are not annoyed by him. We know that he has to be more disciplined in some things. But he knows that too."

Solskjaer is keen to add to his firepower at United and believes Sancho is the man to turn the Red Devils back into title contenders.

According to the Evening Standard, the Norwegian regularly speaks to his players who are friendly with the club's transfer targets to get their opinion.

And the paper claims that Solskjaer had a one-to-one conversation with Rashford to pick his brains on Sancho.

Rashford is good friends with the Dortmund forward, having grown up alongside him playing for England at youth and senior level.
