Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he did not like how Aston Villa players responded to Manchester United's late penalty during their defeat at the weekend.
United fell to their first loss of the new Premier League season when Kortney Hause headed in from a corner in the 87th minute to secure a precious victory for Dean Smith's side.
Solskjaer was furious with the manner of the goal and believes it could have been disallowed given that striker Ollie Watkins was impeding David de Gea when the ball actually crossed the line.
Despite the late goal United actually had their own chance to salvage a point when scorer Hause conceded a penalty in added time for his handball in the box.
Bruno Fernandes took the spot-kick instead of compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo but blazed it over the bar and high into the Stretford End as United's dismal defeat was confirmed.
Speaking after the match Solskjaer praised the mentality of Fernandes but slammed the Villa players for the manner in which they reacted to the late decision.
"I didn't like that they crowded Bruno, penalty spot, referee all that malarkey," Solskjaer told MUTV.
"Bruno is very strong mentally normally and unfortunately today it just didn't go in."
