Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists he will not think about this weekend's titanic Premier League clash between Manchester United and Liverpool until their FA Cup replay with Wolves is over.
The United boss set his players a challenge to 'go all out' in the next six fixtures before the Reds' schedule relents for a mid-season break in February.
United host Wolves in an FA Cup third-round replay at Old Trafford on Wednesday night before a trip to Anfield on Sunday.
They then face Burnley and Wolves in the league, either side of the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg versus Manchester City but Solskjaer is taking things game by game.
“After this game," the Norwegian told United's official website when asked if he was thinking of the Liverpool game.
"We’re not in a position where we can think too far ahead. Now it’s this one, Liverpool, Burnley, hopefully the next round in the FA Cup then City and then Wolves.
"So six games then we’ve got the mid-season break so we’re going to go all out in these six.”
After a 3-1 home defeat by City left United with only a slim chance of reaching the Carabao Cup final, the Wolves replay takes on extra importance. Solskjaer admitted United are targeting FA Cup glory as well.
He hinted that he could field a strong side, after a much-changed United team drew 0-0 at Molineux in the initial game.
“We want to win the game and go through," he added.
"The FA Cup is a fantastic tournament, it’s one we’d love to get to the final of and win it. We’ve just got to make sure we put a strong team out and that we’re ready to compete because they are physical, strong and good on the counterattack and at set-plays. They’ve got players who can shoot so we need to be at it again.
"[The Norwich win] was a good response so we’re looking forward to tonight. It’s a game where we are one step closer.
"We’re at home now. Any away game is difficult but Molineux has been tough for us so we’re looking forward to it.”
