Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to axe one of Jose Mourinho's Man Utd signings

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has big plans to rebuild Manchester United this summer before the new season starts - and that means being ruthless.

So far the Norwegian has made two signings, landing Daniel James from Swansea City in a transfer worth £18million, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £50million.

But as well as incomings there must also be outgoings to balance the books.

Already this summer Manchester United have parted company with Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.

The former wanted wages considered too lucrative, and was guided towards the exit, while the latter was deemed surplus to requirements and not worthy of a new deal.

Other players are set to follow suit with Romelu Lukaku perhaps top of this list to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Solskjaer isn't hell-bent on selling the striker but will let him go if United get the £80million they are looking for from a sale.

One man Solskjaer is more inclined to sell is Jose Mourinho signing Diogo Dalot, according to the London Evening Standard.

The Portuguese was brought in from Porto back in 2018, but has failed to convince Solskjaer he is worthy of a place in United's starting XI.

It is because of this that the Norwegian broke the bank to sign Wan-Bissaka, who is now set to play right-back for the Red Devils for the foreseeable future.

Whether Dalot decides to stay or go remains to be seen, but first team football will be very difficult to come by next season.
