Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sends transfer warning to Man Utd flops after Huddersfield draw

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Manchester United's flops that they might have played their last match for the club.

United's 1-1 dismal draw with Huddersfield on Sunday meant they can no longer qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Red Devils still have a Premier League fixture against already relegated Cardiff next Sunday but a number of United players may not turn out for the club again.

Alexis Sanchez, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata are among those who may have kicked a ball in anger in a red shirt.

Forward Sanchez was given a shock, rare, start against the Terriers before limping off in the 54th minute when we was replaced by Tahith Chong.

The Chilean has struggled since joining from Arsenal a year and a half ago and United are desperate to get his massive £500,000-a-week contract off their books.

Herrera and Mata are both out of contract at the end of the season.

Central midfielder Herrera has reportedly signed a contract with French champions Paris Saint Germain and looks very unlikely to stay.

Former Chelsea man Mata is apparently keen to return to Spain, although United are still hopeful of securing a new agreement with him.

When asked about Sanchez's future, Solskjaer said:"Now is not the time to talk about individuals. It might be the last game for many players."

Former United defender Gary Neville was scathing in his assessment of his old club and said: “This is Huddersfield Town who have struggled all season.

“Watching this Huddersfield team, they haven’t got the quality, but I like watching them a lot more than watching the ones in the red shirts, to be honest with you.

“At least you can identify with them. Nothing about this United team I like at all. They’re just awful.

“They’re a despondent group of people. Solskjaer is smiling at them they’re that bad.

“United’s away support will never stop singing, but this group of players have drained the energy out of them.”
