Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'sanctions £35m bid for Premier League star'

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will launch a big-money move for Crystal Palace ’s highly-rated star Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer.

Solskjaer was handed the Red Devils reins on a permanent basis this week, and is keen to bolster his ranks as he attempts to fight for the title next season.

One of the positions he is looking to strengthen is the right-back slot, with Antonio Valencia set to leave the club at the end of the season and fellow 33-year-old Ashley Young entering the twilight years of this career.

And, according to The Daily Mail , the Norwegian has given the green light to make a £35million move for England Under 21s international Wan-Bissaka.

Despite making just 38 appearances for Palace, the full-back is regarded as one of Europe’s hottest properties.

The 21-year-old broke into the Eagles first-team at the back end of last season and has made the right-back berth his own at Selhurst Park, producing a number of stunning performances.

He further enhanced his glowing reputation with an impressive performance in Palace’s nervy 2-0 victory over relegated Huddersfield on Saturday.

United already boast a number of right-backs, but Matteo Darmian is also expected to leave this summer and Diogo Dalot is yet to find his feet in England following his move last summer.

The club also want to sign two midfielders this summer, with Chelsea ’s teenage winger Callum Hudson-Odoi among their top targets.

The Daily Mail also claims Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Darmian and Valencia are expected to leave this summer to make way for new signings.
