Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's teenage daughter tipped to join Man Utd Women

Ole Gunnar might not be the last Solskjaer to sign a permanent deal with Manchester United .

Solskjaer was named United's new manager on Thursday, 99 days after being appointed caretaker chief following Jose Mourinho's sacking in December.

But the former striker may well be joined at Old Trafford by his teenage daughter Karna - who has been tipped to sign a contract with the Manchester United Women.

Karna has played for local sides in Norway while Solskjaer was in charge of Molde, but will move to England with the rest of the family in the near future.

And 15-year-old Karna has been told she will be welcome to join up with the United Women set-up but head coach Casey Stoney.

"I speak to Ole on a regular basis," Stoney told Sky Sports. "He is a really good guy, he supports the women's team and he's also got a young girl that plays football as well.

"When they move over, we'll look at getting her in with our club and making sure she's looked after.

"And making sure that this club is inclusive - he's a key part of that because he believes in the women's game."

United Women are in their first season and are currently top of the Women's Super League 2, the second tier of women's football.

They have only lost once this season but lead Tottenham by just a point in their quest to reach the top flight.

Stoney admits that the Red Devils is a happy place to be, especially with Solskjaer in the hot seat on the men's side.

"It is a fantastic place to be," she said. "I've had a great experience over the last nine months and now Ole has got the job it is a really positive environment.

"There is real family feel at Manchester United. That is a key part of the way we look after our players and the way the club looks after us."
