Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will take charge of Norway's national team when he eventually leaves Manchester United, according to his compatriot Jan Aage Fjortoft.
The 48-year-old is currently occupying the home dugout at Old Trafford - even if he is under mounting pressure.
Solskjaer presided over a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday, but retains the faith of the club's hierarchy and is set to remain in charge.
Eventually the Norwegian will move on - be that willingly or unwillingly.
He has earned praise for the job he's performed in Manchester given he inherited a squad low on confidence in December 2018.
Investment has been made in the playing group and many feel as if it is now ready to challenge for honours.

Solskjaer may not be the man to do that, but Fjortoft, believes he will take charge of his national side upon leaving Old Trafford.
He tweeted: "(Solskjaer) will, as any manager, eventually get the sack.
"Then he will take some time off. After that he will succeed (Stale) Solbakken (when he says enough is enough) as Norwegian National Coach."
Much of Solbakken's current success has come at Danish side Copenhagen, although he had a brief stint at Wolves back in 2012.
He took charge of Norway in 2020 on a four-year deal and has won six of his first 10 games as boss.
Back in 2017 Norway were given permission to speak to Solskjaer, then Molde manager, about taking over of the national side.
Club director Oystein Neerland was confident he would stay put and he would prove to be right.
Solskjaer scored 23 goals for Norway in 63 appearances between 1995 and 2007, putting him fifth in their all-time scoring list.
The current United boss would be able to work with Norwegian sensation Erling Haaland were he to take the job in the future.

Arsenal's Martin Odegaard and Watford's Josh King, once of United, are also internationals.
For the meantime though Solskjaer's sole focus will be on improving results in Manchester starting with a trip to Tottenham this weekend.
The Red Devils are winless in their last four league games - drawing one and losing three - and take on the north Londoners before hosting neighburs Manchester City.
Sandwiched in between is a trip to Italy to take on Atalanta in the Champions League.
United already find themselves nine points off the pace domestically and out of the Carabao Cup
