Under-fire Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemingly deleted his Twitter account in the wake of their 0-0 draw with AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.
Although not verified, the account @olegs26_ole was reportedly followed by a number of Manchester United players, including club captain Ashley Young.
The biography of the account, clearly written before he made the move to United as Jose Mourinho's successor, read: "Dad of 3 fantastic kids, married to a wonderful wife and Manager of Molde FK, ex footballer."
It was deleted after criticism increased after Thursday's bore draw in the Netherlands - although it is claimed he messaged a supporter beforehand.
After being sent support, the account replied "Thanks for your message. I'm glad someone can see progress, we do. And the attacking will come".
United fan account @utdarena explained: "I just told him that I understood the project he was building and mentioned a few of the parts that were good.
"I acknowledged that times were tough and said with more signings and continued training I am sure he will bring us back. Then I wished him well.
"I remember him referencing a post I made on pressing rates and his first game against Cardiff being the 2nd best performance in the PL last season.
"He mentioned it in pre-season so I had a feeling he saw it as I knew he followed me.
"I sent a message and was glad he replied."
He later deleted the conversation, saying: "I have deleted the tweets regarding Solskjær's message. It was merely to show you that he recognised how United have struggled offensively as some believed he was ignorant or unaware about it."
Fans have theorised that Solskjaer's account might have been deleted after increased negativity surrounding his reign.
The Red Devils have got off to their worst start to a Premier League season and take on Newcastle on Sunday off the back of a miserable performance in Europe in midweek.
