Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes an important week awaits his Manchester United team as they prepare for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.
The club are currently undergoing pre-season preparation in Surrey away from their usual Carrington base, and Solskjaer spoke about the decision to move the camp.
The United boss stressed the importance of bonding as a team in an unfamiliar environment as one of the main factors.
“It’s fantastic to be here,” Solskjaer told ManUtd.com.
“The facilities are great and we’re together, that’s the main thing for that bonding. We all eat together and spend time with each other and it’s a chance to really do some good work and really put down a foundation for the rest of the season for these boys, and men some of them!
“It’s a decision we made. Of course, we drive up the road and have great facilities at Carrington, but it is special to have that pre-season tour feeling."
He added: “The intensity of training will be good.
“It’s always great when you get through a hard week of training and then maybe the weather cools down a little bit and you feel so much stronger as a player and you feel you can run more. It’s an important week for us.”
27 players are currently training with Solskjaer's in the club's camp.
They will take on Queens Park Rangers on Saturday before heading back up to Manchester to take on Everton and Brentford in a series of friendlies.
With just over three weeks to go until the Premier League season commences, United are still without many of their Euro 2020 and Copa America stars.
Though Daniel James and Scott McTominay have joined the squad after competing at the European Championships.
