Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals he is working on 'one or two' Man Utd transfer additions

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is working on 'one or two' more additions to his Manchester United squad this summer.

The Norwegian has already signed Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as he bids to return the Red Devils to Europe's top table this term.

United have been strongly linked with Romelu Lukaku and Bruno Fernandes, while Sean Longstaff is also on the club's radar.

And Solskjaer says he is still looking for a couple more players before the Premier League season kicks off.

Speaking ahead of United's International Champions Cup clash against Inter, he said: "Well, as I said, we are working on one or two.

"My objective here is that we have got to get ready for the games and the training sessions.”

Solskjaer also said there is "no update" on Romelu Lukaku who has been linked with a switch to Inter, but he will not play against his potential new club due to injury.

Lukaku fell down the pecking order at Old Trafford following Solskjaer's arrival and has spoken of his admiration for Italian football.

“The transfer window will close when the league starts and the start of the season is important,” Solskjaer added.

“We've worked them hard. I don't think many players have had a pre-season like this before.

“In the first eight to 10 games you can lose the chance to win games, so the first two months are vital.

“I'm looking to get all the players back to the form when I came in and we went on a run of 11 or 12 games without losing.

“Everyone has been spot-on this season. When they're out on the pitch I can't fault anyone and they've been more proactive in meetings.”
