Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reveals fastest Manchester United players

New Manchester United signings Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are among the fastest players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seen.

United's two new boys have impressed Solskjaer in training while over in Perth, Australia, as they prepare to make their club debuts.

The Norwegian was asked by MUTV if he had seen anybody quicker than James, who United signed from Swansea earlier in the summer, to which he replied: "Maybe Aaron Wan-Bissaka!"

"The two of them do have top, top speed," Solskjaer continued. "Modern football is stop start, it is go again, speed, tempo, quality, so those two have put their maker down. Of course, with our boys, we have got some quick ones."

The team have been back in pre-season training for nearly two weeks now with a week completed back in Manchester before flying to Australia last weekend.

And Solskjaer admitted he has already been impressed with what James and Wan-Bissaka have to offer.

"I think they (the new signings) have been great," Solskjaer said. "Dan came in on the first day, Aaron has just come to tour now and has been training here. I think they enjoy it. Of course it is a step up for them with the quality of team-mates and quality of training."

United have been training at The WACA ahead of their opening fixture against Perth Glory and Solskjaer has really upped the intensity as the squad prepare for the first pre-season friendly.

"It is about pre-season and that is what it is. They should feel tired, they should feel that they are gaining something from it," Solskjaer said. "We are building fitness, robustness, mental robustness and it has been very encouraging. They have been great.

"Of course, we have also worked on a couple of new tactical approaches and ways that we think can benefit us this year."
