Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks 'no one can question the character' of his Manchester United players.
United have struggled for form this season and their woes continued when Atalanta took the lead at the Gewiss Stadium in the Champions League on Tuesday night, but Solskjaer's side fought back on two occasions to level the score in the match.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace and his second strike - scored in stoppage time - was a spectacular volley from the edge of the box.
United were two goals down against Atalanta in the reverse fixture before they completed a sensational 3-2 comeback at Old Trafford and, despite enduring a string of miserable results in recent weeks, Solskjaer suggested that his players are still fighting for him.
"It is a tight game, flowed both ways, their two goals were very tight and we thought the first was offside," Solskjaer told BT Sport.
"I thought he interfered with David de Gea's view but Cristiano is just incredible. If there is anyone you want a chance to fall to and a difficult chance, it is just incredible. That is football, no one can question the character of these players.
"They don't ever give up and give in, they just keep going. We had to make changes and they worked.
"The goal was a proper team goal, great quality on the passing, four or five or six passes before that little exchange as well.
"The atmosphere was electric, very physical and hard to play against."
