Ole Gunnar Solskjaer responds to Man Utd fans' anti-Glazer and Ed Woodward chants

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed the Glazer family and Ed Woodward after the Old Trafford crowd turned on the Manchester United hierarchy.

Despite United romping to a 4-0 win over bottom of the table Norwich, hard-line fans in the Stretford End began chanting anti-Glazer and Woodward songs.

Solskjaer claimed later he was unaware if his players heard the attacks on the American owners who took over in 2003.

But the Norwegian admitted he picked it up before teenage striker Mason Greenwood scored United's final goal.

However, in a clear sign of support for the club's Tampa-based owners and Executive Vice Chairman Woodward, Soslkjaer insisted all factions of the club must stick together.

“I'm not sure if the players will get it but I noticed, yeah," said the United boss.

"And as a club we've got to stick together, we've got to be united, we are a family."

“I can only say from when I've been here I've been backed by the owners.

"I've been backed by Ed and they're supporting me, so for me, let's make sure we stick together.

“We are in all competitions. We are still in the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup, we're fifth in the league, still challenging.

“We've improved the position from last season, we've got Europa League, they've just gotta believe me when I say I feel we are doing loads of good things behind the scenes.

“We are going in the right direction.

"And when you see the group today - the attitude, the work-rate, that's the core of the group that's gonna go forward.”
