Ole Gunnar Solskjaer labelled Bruno Fernandes a "character" after he 'shushed' Pep Guardiola in Manchester United's victory over Man City.
City boss Guardiola and United midfielder Fernandes engaged in verbals late on in the match at Old Trafford, which the Red Devils won 2-0.
Fernandes ended the angry exchange of words by putting his finger to his lips.
Scott McTominay went on to seal the victory for United with one of the last kicks of the game after Anthony Martial put the Red Devils ahead on the half-hour mark.
After the match Solskjaer waxed lyrical about his side's performance against the champions.
He also heaped praise on Fernandes, before he was asked what he made of the January signing from Sporting Lisbon 'shushing' Guardiola.
Solskjaer responded: "You need a character here, you need character at this club, but this team they have got that.
"They have learned through some hard times this season, because we have been a young team and we have started something we believe in and Bruno has helped that."
On his performance against City, he added: "The whole club [has been lifted]. Because he has everything I spoke about. He works hard, he is humble enough, he's got the desire and commitment, but he's also got the X-factor.
"He is a risk-taker, he's got the courage to make mistakes and if you make enough mistakes it'll be corrected into fantastic assists or goals."
