Ole Gunnar Solskjaer raves about the impact of Bruno Fernandes on Manchester United's winter break

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been stunned by Bruno Fernandes’ impact since the Portuguese star joined Manchester United.

After moving to Old Trafford from Sporting in a deal that could reach £67.7m, Fernandes has wasted little time impressing his new boss.

And the Norwegian is delighted with the quick progress of Fernandes during the team’s mini camp in the south of Spain during the winter break.

“Well, overall, he is a very, very good footballer and his brain is obviously quicker than many others,” Solskjaer told the club’s official website.

“He has got loads of attributes that we are going to get used to. We will get used to him and he will get used to us.

“His passing range, his deliveries, his movements, I am just pleased to see him here enjoying himself.

“He trains and he trains and he trains, so his fitness levels and enthusiasm is brilliant.”

Compatriot Diogo Dalot has revealed Fernandes is settling in fast too ahead of next Monday’s match with Chelsea.

“[He’s settling in] perfectly. I mean, it is like he has been here for two years already,” Dalot told the club’s official website.

“He is getting on very well with the lads, it is very good to have him here, it is very good for me, very good for the team, he is a fantastic player and a fantastic person, so it is one more to help the team.”
