Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides injury update ahead of Manchester United's trip to West Ham

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he is "getting players back" ahead of their visit to West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Reds have a Europa League match against Astana at Old Trafford on Thursday before they make their journey to the capital to take on the Hammers on Sunday.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial both missed the win over Leicester City through injury, so did Luke Shaw. All three of those are also ruled out for their match on Thursday.

Pogba had been suffering from an ankle problem while Martial and Shaw both had thigh injuries.

Also missing out against Astana is winger Daniel James, who picked up a knock in the Leicester game.

Pogba and Shaw trained separately from the main group of United players on Wednesday, indicating they were building towards a return for the Hammers game this weekend with no need to risk them in the Europa League.

There was no update however on the fitness of Martial from Solskjaer at his press conference at Carrington on Wednesday afternoon. But the Norwegian manager previously said he has pencilled in the Frenchman for a return against the Hammers after a thigh injury.

Jesse Lingard and Diogo Dalot have both returned to training however and are pushing for spots in the squad for the Hammers trip this weekend.

One player definitely out of the West Ham match is defender Eric Bailly, who is a long-term knee injury victim.
