Ole Gunnar Solskjaer predicts Man United will finish in top four if they beat Chelsea

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that a Premier League top-four finish will be Manchester United's for the taking if they beat Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The race for Champions League qualification has taken a chaotic turn in recent weeks, with United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal all hitting poor form at the vital stage of the season.

With Liverpool and Manchester City having already sealed two of the top four spots on offer, two places remain - but none of the chasing pack seem confident of getting the results needed.

United have lost three of their last five League games to sit three points off fourth-placed Chelsea heading into Sunday's clash, while Maurizio Sarri's Blues have dropped five points in their last two matches.

Speaking ahead of a must-win game, Solskjaer was asked whether a win for United would seal a top-four place. While United would require a victory with a five-goal swing to leapfrog Chelsea, the Red Devils coach believes games elsewhere will mean Champions League football for his side next season.

Asked about results elsewhere - with Tottenham being beaten by West Ham on Saturday and Arsenal losing 3-0 at Leicester on Sunday - Solskjaer told Sky Sports: "It's crazy really and for us it's a massive opportunity. We've been given some hope."
