Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pats Jose Mourinho on head after Man Utd beat Tottenham

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer patted Jose Mourinho on the head after Manchester United beat Tottenham - and Red Devils fans loved it.

The Red Devils ran out 2-1 winners over Spurs at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, with Marcus Rashford netting twice for the home side.

After the match Solskjaer embraced the man he replaced at Manchester United, and the duo shook hands. But fans spotted that Solskjaer also couldn't resit leaning over and patting Mourinho on the head.

Reacting on Twitter one fan said: "Delighted for Ole that he got a chance to give Mourinho the final patronizing pat on the head after shaking hands. Fair play."

While another added: "Ole dropping the Dismissive Head Pat on Mourinho akin to dropping a Stone Cold Stunner on Steve Austin."

Mourinho spoke out about match-winner Rashford following United's victory at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese said: "When he plays from the left he is really dangerous and I knew that and gave the players the best information about it.

"His first goal is a typical Rashford goal coming on the inside. Our boys knew that clearly.

"It's a step back against a team that is playing with same objective as us. Trying to get up the table and reach the top six.

"We need to keep going. We made mistakes but it's not good to be crying about them now, we have a difficult match on Saturday [Burnley at home]."
