Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'orders Man Utd inquest' after final game of season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly ordered his Manchester United players to report after the end of the season.

United face Huddersfield this weekend before ending the season against Cardiff on May 12.

But the Sun reports Solskjaer has called a meeting the following day for an inquest into United's poor end to the season.

The United boss and his players are scheduled to return to their Carrington training ground for a debrief.

United look set to miss out on a place in the top four after a dismal end to the season both domestically and in Europe.

They have managed just one win in their last seven matches across all competitions.

United were dumped out of the Champions League by Barcelona before comfortable defeats to Everton and Man City in the Premier League.

Sunday's draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford left United in sixth in the table, three points off Arsenal in fourth with two games to go.

That means they are set to start next season in the Europa League, affecting Solskjaer's summer transfer plans.

Meanwhile, United are reportedly ready to pay HALF of Alexis Sanchez's salary in order to get rid of the £30m flop.

Sanchez has failed to recapture the form he showed at Arsenal since joining United in January last year.

The Red Devils are prepared to offload him this summer as Solskjaer bids to turn his squad back into genuine contenders.

But the club know his mammoth £500,000-per-week will be a major obstacle to any transfer.
