Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes Mason Greenwood Manchester United prediction

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident Mason Greenwood will establish himself as a goal scorer at Manchester United in the new season.

The young striker has made a glowing impression on the United manager since he arrived at the club and is one of a quarter of academy players taking part in the club's pre season tour of Australia.

Greenwood is yet to score for United since making his breakthrough last season but is already been talked up with a permanent promotion to the first-team in the new season.

The youngster featured as a right winger for United last weekend when he made a second half appearance during the club's pre season win against Perth Glory at the Optus Stadium, but his best talents still remain as a centre forward.

The 17-year-old has already showcased his ability at youth level by scoring a variety of different types of goal, and Solskjaer believes this ability to play with both feet will give Greenwood an advantage in his development as a player.

“Greenwood? He's a natural finisher, a natural footballer," Solskjaer said to the BBC.

"Right-footed, left-footed. I don't think he knows if he's more predominant on his right or his left. He takes penalties with both feet and free-kicks with both feet. He finds space naturally.

“He'll always end up with chances. He'll score goals this year, I am 100% sure of that.”
