Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes David de Gea decision after Man Utd goalkeeper's errors

David de Gea will start for Manchester United this weekend – after injury ruled Sergio Romero out of Sunday's trip to Huddersfield .

De Gea's position has been under threat following high-profile blunders against Barcelona , Everton , Manchester City and Chelsea in recent weeks.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was not convincing when asked if De Gea would start at Huddersfield – then revealed he would following a knee injury picked up by No.2 Romero.

Asked if De Gea would start on Sunda, Solskjaer said: “I would think so, yeah, or he will play.

“Sergio was injured yesterday so didn't train, tweaked his knee, so David's been training well this week.

“David's been fantastic this season. Towards the end now he's been in headlines for the wrong reasons, but he has to do with that.

“The goalkeeping department are fantastic, they're a tight-knit group. They've experienced better times than just now, but David's ready for Sunday.”

Solskjaer has spoken with De Gea this week about the United keeper's recent loss of form, but would not elaborate on how the 28-year-old explained his sudden loss of focus.
