Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has predicted Amad will soon have a big impact for Manchester United after the winger's rapid rise through the ranks.
Amad was included in a senior squad for the first time when United secured a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals with Tuesday's win over West Ham.
His first involvement in a matchday squad comes just over a month after he joined the Red Devils from Atalanta, with the 18-year-old having played just two games for the under-23s.
Amad didn't make it onto the pitch against the Hammers - but Solskjaer said before the game he was ready to call on the teenager if things weren't going United's way.
"He’s been bright since he came - he did really well in the reserve games," said the manager.
"He’s a player who can create something out of nothing so he’s on the bench to make an impact if we need to."
Amad created three of the under-23s' goals in a 6-4 win over their Blackburn counterparts last Friday - as well as scoring one himself.
That took his tally to three goals and laid on the same number of assist in his two games so far for the reserves.
Amad also made headlines recently for an outrageous piece of skill that left United fans desperate to see him involved in the first-team sooner rather than later.
But he was not called from the bench on Tuesday, despite United labouring to a 1-0 extra-time victory over West Ham.
However, Solskjaer has made it clear the winger will soon be unleashed for the first team.
Asked whether Amad could make his debut in the coming weeks, the manager said: “It might be quicker than that.
"He’s definitely settled down, well, players have taken to him, he’s a good character, polite, smiley boy who works really hard.
“He’s doing his sessions, getting used to us, there’s always a period of adjustment needed but he’s settling in well.”
Solskjaer added: “He can handle the ball, he’s enjoyed training, makes a difference in training, which is quite remarkable at his age.
“Some adjustment to settle into the hustle and bustle of the Premier League but I can’t see it’s too long until he’s in the squad."
