Ole Gunnar Solskjaer issues challenge to Man Utd as stars arrive for training

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his players to not underestimate Wolves ahead of their game at Molineux on Monday night.

The Red Devils got off to the ideal start to their Premier League campaign when they defeated Chelsea 4-0 in the opening weekend.

However Solskjaer believes that Wolves, who finished just one place behind his side in seventh place last season, will pose a different type of challenge to Chelsea.

"I'm looking forward to the first hurdle, because you want to see the resilience and the robustness, that we can bounce back when the going gets tough," Solskjaer said.

"I'm sure it will be on Monday, Wolverhampton will give us a very hard challenge. We have to break them down, we have to stop them counter attacking.

United lost twice away to Wolves last season, once in the FA Cup and once in the Premier League, and Solskjaer is aware that they are a side to be reckoned with.

"We can't give them too many set pieces. It's just as much a mental test, and we're in a good place at the moment," he added.

"But when you hit the first hurdle and obstacle that is when we want to see the leaders stepping forward, anyone can play well towards the end of a game when you're winning 3-0 or 4-0."

Wolves were in action mid-week when they thrashed Armenian side FC Pyunik 4-0 on Thursday, 8-0 on aggregate, although they were unable to start their Premier League campaign with a win as they were held 0-0 by Leicester last weekend.

Solskjaer is expected to name the same starting line-up that beat Chelsea, although he may be tempted to put Daniel James in following the winger's goal.

Alexis Sanchez could miss out again with the Chilean still recovering from a hamstring injury.
