Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hits back hard after David Moyes' Man Utd outburst - "Don't blame me"

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hit back hard after West Ham boss David Moyes lashed out at Premier League chiefs over Manchester United's fixture congestion.

The Red Devils are forced to play three games in five days, and Solskjaer has already made it clear he will have to rotate his squad to negotiate the period.

Moyes is worried that Man United will drop points against West Ham's top-four rivals Leicester City and Liverpool as a result, which would see the Irons miss out on Champions League football next season.

And the Scot recently made his frustration known.

"The Premier League should be answering these questions and tell us why this is the case," said Moyes. "There was an awful lot of integrity needed to get the Premier League back up and running during the pandemic.

"Ole can do what he likes. It's his team and his club. But I don't know if there was a better way to sort the fixtures out. The Premier League have made that decision, I think Manchester United can always put out a strong team."

Solskjaer was asked for his thoughts on the matter and hit back at the suggestion it is Man United's fault.

Solskjaer said: "I wish I could have said let's go full out in all the games but it's impossible... talking about integrity in the league and stuff, don't blame me when I have to make changes because I have to.

"It's not safe for them to play all four so I have got to prioritise."
